How do you want to control it?

Common requirements (all paths)

A PC running Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), a TriggerPC account, and the app installed and paired.

Windows setup

1

Create your account

Open Create account, enter your email, name and password, then sign in to the dashboard.

Create account
2

Download and install the app on Windows

At triggerpc.com/download, get TriggerPC-Certificado.cer and the MSIX. Import the certificate to Local Machine → Trusted People (TrustedPeople). Install the MSIX with App Installer — use Restart as administrator if prompted. The package is .msix; do not use msiexec.

Download
3

Pair your PC with your account

On the Cloud tab, generate a code; confirm it in the browser and choose an optional name.

4

Add commands and publish them

On the Commands tab, add and enable your commands; publishing to the cloud is automatic.

5

Set the default PC

If you have several PCs, pick the main one under Computers → Set as default.

Web dashboard

Available

Sign in to TriggerPC, open Computers, select Commands and run the published command.

Alexa (voice)

Available

Enable the TriggerPC skill in Amazon Alexa, link your account and say “Alexa, open Notepad”.

Keep the voice phrase and the Alexa Routine identical.

Android app (Stream Deck)

Using the same account, choose your PC, arrange buttons and tap to run. The project lives in the android/ folder.

See docs/android-app.md.

Extra: turn on a powered-off PC (Wake PC)

In the Windows app, open Wake PC to check whether the computer is ready and use Prepare computer when TriggerPC suggests fixes. Available today: Alexa/Echo (with a compatible Echo on the PC's network — including remote commands via the internet) and a phone on the same Wi-Fi with the TriggerPC app, without Echo, port forwarding or DDNS. Traditional Wake-on-WAN and TriggerPC Home Relay are planned for future releases.

Troubleshooting

Generate a code on the Cloud tab and confirm it under Pair.

Generate a new code and pair again.

Check the power, the TriggerPC service and the internet connection.

Check the skill, the linked account, that the command is enabled and that the PC is online.

Install the certificate in the correct certificate store and try again.

Ready to get started?
